When we first met Kalya and Colby at the Wicked Wedding Show they were looking for guidance from any vendor that would help them. They were recently engaged and felt overwhelmed by the huge amount of planning that was ahead of them for their wedding. So many things to decide and take care of they felt they didn’t know where to start. Similar to many newly engaged couples, the task of planning a wedding feels extremely overwhelming at first. They made the right decision to come to the wedding show to seek out information from local wedding vendors. Just chatting with any vendor should help ease you into planning your wedding. After spending some time chatting with them at the show they decided to book their engagement session with us.
The day of their engagement shoot came and it was a beautiful winter’s day. The previous day had seen lots of wind, dust blowing through the air and much colder temperatures. However, once our engagement shoot day rolled around we found ourselves with clear sunny skies, warm temperatures, and there was hardly any wind.
They had their hearts set on a baseball themed engagement shoot, baseball had a lot of meaning for them and they wanted to make sure it was incorporated into their engagement photos. Which is why we found ourselves at Isotopes Baseball Park that day. We couldn’t have imagined any better place to capture their love for each other and the game of baseball. Michelle Montoya, Community Relations Manager, was there to greet us and was absolutely fantastic to work with. She accompanied us around the stadium for the whole photo shoot experience and even threw out some great ideas for specific locations within the park to photograph.
Kayla and Colby were so very excited for the engagement shoot, they brought with them many props; baseball bats, a couple of balls, their favorite MLB teams’ jersey and many other fun items for the shoot. It was indeed a fantastic location to photograph. It was the perfect casual and fun engagement session. Between the chilled hands, clear skies, and excited atmosphere of being alone in the stadium it truly was a memorable experience that none of us will forget.
Do you love baseball as much as Kayla and Colby? Have you ever thought about having your engagement session somewhere like Isotopes Stadium or somewhere else with lots of personal meaning?
